Online Asbestos Awareness Course
This online Asbestos Awareness training course has been developed for workers to gain the required general knowledge and understanding to work safely with and around materials containing asbestos.
The purpose of Asbestos Awareness training is to ensure workers understand where asbestos might be found in their place of work and what steps they can take to keep their workplace safe.
Overview
Throughout the delivery of this course, you will be made aware of the workplace health and safety risks and hazards associated when working with or in close proximity to asbestos containing materials.
The course will address:
- the risk and serious long-term impacts of asbestos exposure,
- the roles, responsibilities, and legislation for asbestos related work,
- how to determine if asbestos containing material may be present,
- how to identify asbestos containing materials,
- how to identify hazardous activities that lead to asbestos exposure,
- how to identify basic control measures for asbestos and asbestos containing materials
- how to inspect worksites and communicate asbestos risks and asbestos controls with your co-workers.
To successfully complete this short training module successfully you must ensure you complete the entire content in the sequence that it is presented. At the end of the course you will receive via email a certificate of completion.
